Courtesy of my office mate, Ross Tilchin, comes this Washington Post piece about a letter Adm. Bill McRaven, head of the U.S. Special Operations Command, wrote to one Walker Greentree, a 6-year old boy who wanted more information about the elite members of our armed forces. McRaven had some important advice for him---and even answered some of his questions about ninjas.

Ritika Singh was a project coordinator at the Brookings Institution where she focused on national security law and policy. She graduated with majors in International Affairs and Government from Skidmore College in 2011, and wrote her thesis on Russia’s energy agenda in Europe and its strategic implications for America.
