I wanted to flag that I recently posted a new case supplement for the casebook to update the casebook. I have typically made supplements year to year. But with so many developments in the field over the past six months, I decided a midyear supplement was necessary. The supplement includes coverage of Carpenter, the Cloud Act, new cases on the border search exception, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, the Stored Communications Act, and more.
I realize that only a small set of Lawfare readers will be interested in a law school casebook. But a wider array of readers might find the new supplement useful, as it tries to summarize legal developments in addition to presenting the raw new materials and asking the usual annoyingly unanswerable academic questions about them.
