Andrew McCabe Sues Attorney General and FBI Director

On August 8, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia against Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray over McCabe’s demotion and dismissal from the FBI. The complaint alleges that the defendants' actions violated both McCabe’s First Amendment and due process rights. The complete document is available here and below.

Vishnu Kannan is special assistant to the president at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Previously he was a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow in Carnegie’s Technology and International Affairs Program, a researcher at Lawfare and the Foreign Policy Research Institute, and an intern at the Brookings Institution. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University where he studied International Relations, Political Theory and Economics.
