Yesterday, I was up at Harvard Law School on a panel with Gabriella Blum talking about our new book: The Future of Violence: Robots and Germs, Hackers and Drones---—Confronting A New Age of Threat. We were asked---as we have been repeatedly when talking about the book---whether our assumptions about the individual's ability to weaponize new technologies are realistic. In particular, people have questioned whether we're making rash assumptions about drones; remote controlled aircraft have been around a long time, after all. Today, thanks to Charlie Dunlap, I saw this video recently posted to YouTube. If this is what's doable by hobbyists today, think about what will be possible five, ten, or 20 years from now.
