On Wednesday, a grand jury returned a three-count indictment charging Christopher Hasson in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland with unlawful possession of unregistered firearm silencers, unlawful possession of unregistered firearm silencers unidentified by serial numbers, and possession of firearms by an unlawful user and addict of a controlled substance.

On Wednesday, a grand jury returned a three-count indictment charging Christopher Hasson in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland with unlawful possession of unregistered firearm silencers, unlawful possession of unregistered firearm silencers unidentified by serial numbers, and possession of firearms by an unlawful user and addict of a controlled substance. Prosecutors allege in court filings that Hasson was planning a domestic terrorist attack targeting media outlets and Democratic politicians. The full indictment is below.


Matthew Kahn is a third-year law student at Harvard Law School and a contributor at Lawfare. Prior to law school, he worked for two years as an associate editor of Lawfare and as a junior researcher at the Brookings Institution. He graduated from Georgetown University in 2017.
