Document: Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press Requests Public Release of Mueller Grand Jury Material

Today, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press filed an application in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for an order authorizing the public release of grand jury material “cited, quoted, or referenced” in Special Counsel Mueller's report to Attorney General Bill Barr.

Today, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press filed an application in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for an order authorizing the public release of grand jury material “cited, quoted, or referenced” in Special Counsel Mueller's report to Attorney General Bill Barr. Barr has said he will redact grand jury material from version of Mueller's report that he will transmit to Congress, as Rule 6(e) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure prohibits the release of grand jury material except in a narrow set of circumstances.
