Documents: Court Unseals Documents Regarding Chelsea Manning Subpoena

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia has unsealed several filings concerning Chelsea Manning's challenge to a subpoena in that court. Manning was found to be in civil contempt on March 8 after declining to answer questions before the grand jury and has been imprisoned.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia has unsealed several filings concerning Chelsea Manning's challenge to a subpoena in that court. Manning was found to be in civil contempt on March 8 after declining to answer questions before the grand jury and has been imprisoned. The documents include: Manning's motion to quash the subpoena; the government's response to Manning's motion to quash; Manning's motion to unseal the case; the government's response to the motion to unseal; and the transcript of a March 5 hearing in the case. These documents, along with the order to unseal, are available below.
