Documents: Letters to Special Counsel Robert Mueller from the Trump Legal Team

The New York Times has obtained letters sent to the office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller by the president's legal team, one in January 2018 and one in June 2017. The correspondence makes an aggressive case as to the scope of President Trump's Article II power.

The New York Times has obtained letters sent to the office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller by the president's legal team, one in January 2018 and one in June 2017. The correspondence makes an aggressive case as to the scope of President Trump's Article II power, arguing that as the head of the executive branch, the president cannot obstruct justice.
