A federal grand jury has charged six men with conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, the Justice Department announced on Dec. 17. If convicted, the men face up to life in prison. The men were arrested and charged by criminal complaint in October, following an FBI investigation into their alleged plot to abduct the governor.
