I'm not sure what to say on Lawfare's fifth birthday, so I'll keep this very short. Many thanks to everyone who has helped Lawfare grow over the past five years: to those who have written for it, to those who have helped edit it, to the students who have kept it humming with material, to those who have argued with it, to those who have donated financially to it, and to everyone who has taken time to read it. None of us anticipated when we wrote our first posts for Lawfare what it would become or the role it would come to play.

None of us quite knows exactly where it's going next either. We're trying to stay experimental, rigorous, and serious about the things that matter to our readers. We'll also keep trying to lighten it up sometimes. So stick with us. The next five years are going to be fun.
