On March 30, the Heritage Foundation held a day-long event entitled "The Role of Intelligence." Here's the agenda, along with the video of each session:
The United States must have robust intelligence capabilities. They are vital to America’s national security and that of our friends and allies. Join us for an in-depth series of conversations with intelligence experts on the role of intelligence, how it is used to protect the United States, and how we ensure that conduct of intelligence activities are conducted in a lawful manner. Our speakers will focus on the lawful collection of foreign intelligence, as well as the impact of intelligence in the hands of the customers in order to make better informed decisions affecting our national security. Panelists will discuss collection authorities, privacy, and the rule of law, and how those strengthen our ability to protect and defend against 21st Century threats. Against this background, the demand from intelligence customers in the 21st Century for timely, accurate and lawfully collected intelligence will only continue to increase.
