How I Spent My Weekend: Picking a Fight With Sean Hannity
I don't normally spend time thinking about, much less responding to, television personalities. But the other day, Fox News's Sean Hannity tweeted a public endorsement of Wikileaks and Julian Assange:

I don't normally spend time thinking about, much less responding to, television personalities. But the other day, Fox News's Sean Hannity tweeted a public endorsement of Wikileaks and Julian Assange:
In 10 yrs @wikileaks has gotten nothing wrong & no one's been killed bc of the info released. #freejulianassange #freeinternet for all.

It made me mad.
I tweeted in response the following:
Memo to @FoxNews viewers: @seanhannity is openly siding with a hostile foreign power in a covert intelligence operation against his country.

I challenge @seanhannity to have me on his show to debate his endorsement of @wikileaks and discuss whether he is now a Putin pawn. @FoxNews

I also sent the exchange to former NSA and CIA Director, Gen. Michael Hayden, and asked him if he had any thoughts on conservative talk show hosts who have gotten in touch with their inner Snowdenistas.
Turns out he did:
Ben,Many thanks for the heads up. FOXNews has almost entirely jumped the shark. They have given up any semblance of conservatism and focused on an almost visceral hatred of all things Clinton and Obama.
There are a few points of light and Chris Wallace, Bret Baier and Meghan Kelly.
Hannity has entered the pantheon of a true propagandist. And his behavior reminds me of a conversation I had with a political officer in the mid-1980s when I was the air attaché to Bulgaria. I asked this officer what truth was to him. He responded without hesitation, "Truth is what serves the party."
And there you have it.

I tweeted it.
So far, more than 3,000 people have retweeted it:

Who knew?
Still waiting to hear from Hannity, though.
What did you do this weekend?
