The House Intelligence Committee released two letters it received from the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (ICIG), Michael K. Atkinson, regarding the status of the ongoing whistleblower complaint.  The first letter states that the ICIG deemed the whistleblower’s complaint “urgent” and “credible” before forwarding the materials to the Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Joseph Maguire.  In the second letter, the ICIG says he disagreed with the acting DNI’s determination that no disclosure to Congress was necessary and sought to disclose basic information of the whistleblower complaint to congressional intelligence committees. The letters are available here and here, as well as below.
