Please join the Hoover Institution's Islamism and the International Order Working Group this Thursday, April 27, from 5-7 pm for a panel discussion with the White Helmets (Syria Civil Defense, or SCD) on their humanitarian efforts in Syria.

The White Helmets comprise roughly 3,000 volunteers working on the front lines of humanitarian efforts in Syria. They are credited with saving 82,000 Syrians to date. This unique panel event will feature four SCD members—Raed al Saleh, head of SCD; Mounir Mustafa, SCD's deputy head; Jehad Mahamed, SCD co-founder and liaison officer; and Manal Abazeed, SCD volunteer—and will be moderated by Samuel Tadros, Hoover's distinguished visiting fellow for Middle Eastern studies.

The panel will take place at Hoover's offices at 1399 New York Avenue, NW, Suite 500. A translator will be present.

Please RSVP, as space is limited. Here is the invitation.
