The chief justice, I am informed, has designated Judge Thomas F. Hogan to serve as the next presiding judge of the FISC, starting in May. Judge Hogan's term as Presiding Judge will continue through May 18, 2016. This is, in my opinion, very good news. There is no district judge I admire more---and only a very few I admire as much.
