At 1 p.m. ET on Aug. 20, President Biden will deliver an address on the U.S. efforts to evacuate Americans, Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) applicants and vulnerable Afghans out of Afghanistan. The remarks come as his administration faces intense criticism for the frantic evacuation amid days of chaos at the Kabul airport since the Taliban took control of the capital.
