On Jan. 15 at 10:00 a.m., the House Committee on Oversight and Reform will hold a hearing titled “Facial Recognition Technology (Part III): Ensuring Commercial Transparency & Accuracy.” The Committee will hear testimony from Brenda Leong, Senior Counsel and Director of AI and Ethics at the Future of Privacy Forum; Dr. Charles Romine, Director of the Information Technology Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards and Technology; Meredith Whittaker, Co-Founder and Co-Director of the AI Now Institute at New York University; Daniel Castro, Vice President and Director of Center for Data Innovation at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation; and Jake Parker, Senior Director of Government Relations at the Security Industry Association (SIA).
