The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence will host a hearing entitled "The National Security Challenge of Artificial Intelligence, Manipulated Media, and ‘Deepfakes’" at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. A video of the hearing is available below.

Witnesses include Danielle Citron, Professor of Law at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law; Jack Clark, Policy Director at OpenAI; and Clint Watts, a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute.

Vishnu Kannan is special assistant to the president at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Previously he was a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow in Carnegie’s Technology and International Affairs Program, a researcher at Lawfare and the Foreign Policy Research Institute, and an intern at the Brookings Institution. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University where he studied International Relations, Political Theory and Economics.
