On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee will hold a hearing on the invalidation of the EU-U.S. privacy shield and the future of transatlantic data flows. The committee will hear testimony from Noah Phillips, a commissioner on the Federal Trade Commission; Victoria Espinel, the president and CEO of BSA—The Software Alliance; James Sullivan, the deputy assistant commerce secretary for services; and Peter Swire, the research director for the Cross-Border Data Forum.
