On June 15, the House Committee on Oversight and Reform released documents and emails that show the Trump administration’s efforts to invalidate results of the 2020 presidential election in several states where the then-president lost the vote. The documents, requisitioned by the committee in May, highlight the various avenues by which Trump’s staff pressured the Department of Justice to overturn the results of the election. The documents include talking points about voter fraud related to voting machines and Italian satellite activity distributed to Department of Justice attorneys, including former Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, and communications about investigations into alleged instances of voter fraud in Georgia, New Mexico and Pennsylvania. Among the documents is a draft complaint asking the Supreme Court to nullify presidential election results and declare special elections in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
