New Lawfare Contributing Editors: Orin Kerr, Gabriella Blum, and Ingrid Wuerth

I'm delighted to announce three new additions to Lawfare's masthead. Orin Kerr, whose first post ran this morning, is the Fred C. Stevenson Research Professor of Law at the George Washington University Law School and is a nationally recognized Fourth Amendment scholar and expert in computer crime law. Many Lawfare readers already know his excellent blogging over at the Volokh Conspiracy, where his work has long been one of the go-to resources for real time analysis on the law of surveillance and cybercrime. On the lighter side, he is also the author of one of my favorite law review articles of all time and this awesome meditation on internet blog comments. Gabriella Blum is the Rita E. Hauser Professor of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at Harvard Law School. She is a leading scholar of the laws of war and the coauthor of Laws, Outlaws, and Terrorists: Lessons from the War on Terrorism, as well as the author of Islands of Agreement: Managing Enduring Armed Rivalries. She is also my coauthor on a book we are just finishing up on technology, data, and the future of violence. Ingrid Wuerth is a Professor at Vanderbilt Law School, where she is a leading scholar of foreign affairs and international law in domestic courts. Her broad interests also include the German Constitution, comparative constitutional law, and methodology, and she has been writing for us recently on German reaction to NSA spying. She's also the author of a fascinating article about detention and trial of suspected enemies during the War of 1812, a piece that had a big influence on my own work on the subject. I'm thrilled to welcome them aboard.
