Several new bills were introduced in the Senate today by a shifting group of mostly-Republican senators. I have not had a chance to review any of these yet, but here's the top-line:
  • Senator McCain introduced this bill on detention procedures.
  • Senator Graham introduced this bill to prohibit the expenditure of money on trying 9/11 conspirators in federal court.
  • Senator Graham also reintroduced his habeas bill from last year, although I am told with some significant changes.
  • Senator Chambliss introduced this bill on interrogation procedures.
