My wife and I live on Capitol Hill.  Every morning we go for a walk.  Today, at 9 AM, as we were coming up the Hill we passed the Supreme Court .... where the line for attending the same-sex marriage oral arguments has already started to form.  This despite the fact that the arguments are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday next week, more than 72 hours away, and despite the fact that the Washington DC forecast calls for rain and possibly snow on Sunday and Monday.  The mind boggles. No connection really to Lawfare, except that I can't imagine camping out for 72 hours in the rain for a national security law argument, and I'm a devotee.
