ODNI Releases Annual Intelligence Community Transparency Report

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) has released its “Annual Statistical Transparency Report Regarding the Intelligence Community’s Use of National Security Surveillance Authorities” for the 2020 calendar year.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) has released its “Annual Statistical Transparency Report Regarding the Intelligence Community’s Use of National Security Surveillance Authorities” for the 2020 calendar year.

The report is published annually, consistent with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) as codified in 50 U.S.C. § 1873(b) and ODNI’s Principles of Intelligence Transparency. The 36-page document offers “explanations as to how the [intelligence community] uses its national security authorities.”
