The next in our series of book soirees at the Hoover Institution's Washington Office will take place on July 13, when Ben interviews Steve Budiansky about his new book, Code Warriors: NSA's Codebreakers and the Secret Intelligence War Against the Soviet Union:

This series of monthly book conversations about national security law and policy is sponsored by the Hoover Institution's National Security, Technology, and Law Working Group. The conversations take place at Hoover's offices at 1399 New York Avenue, NW, Suite 500, preceded by a reception with food and drink, then filmed and recorded for video airing and podcasting on Lawfare.

Jack Goldsmith is the Learned Hand Professor at Harvard Law School, co-founder of Lawfare, and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. Before coming to Harvard, Professor Goldsmith served as Assistant Attorney General, Office of Legal Counsel from 2003-2004, and Special Counsel to the Department of Defense from 2002-2003.
Benjamin Wittes is editor in chief of Lawfare and a Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at the Brookings Institution. He is the author of several books.
