On the fourth day of the impeachment trial of President Trump, the House managers wrapped up their case against the president. First, they concluded their arguments on the first article of impeachment, abuse of power, and then turned to their case for the second article, obstruction of Congress. In this episode, you’ll hear the House managers lay out the history and law of impeachment related to obstruction of Congress. You’ll then hear them apply that law to the facts of the House’s case. Finally, House manager Adam Schiff summarized the law and facts of the House’s entire case against the president, and made a final appeal to the U.S. Senate for Trump’s impeachment and removal before the president counsel presents their case.

The proceedings of the impeachment trial should be carefully heard by each and every American, but the reality is that most do not have the luxury of sitting through the daily grind of lengthy testimony, so Lawfare and Goat Rodeo bring you the fourth day of President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial boiled down to the most essential one hour and 39 minutes.
