Nearly 300 people were killed and 500 injured in suicide bombings at churches and hotels on Easter Sunday in Colombo, Sri Lanka, reported the New York Times. According to the Washington Post, the government has blamed a local Islamist militant group, but the government suspects the group had international assistance. The Post also noted that several Americans were among the dead.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Monday that the U.S. is prepared to impose sanctions on key allies unless the cease to buy Iranian oil, reported the Post.

The leader of an armed U.S. militia on the southern border has been arrested on firearms charges after a video emerged of his group holding migrants against their will, according to the Post.

President Trump and the Trump Organization have sued House Committee on Oversight Chairman Elijah Cummings over his subpoena for Trump’s tax returns, said the Wall Street Journal. Lawfare shared the complaint.
