The House Judiciary Committee is considering a contempt citation against Attorney General Bill Barr for failing to comply with a subpoena requesting Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s unredacted report as well as its supporting evidence, Politico reports.

A cease-fire between Israel and Palestinian militant groups in the Gaza went into effect on Monday, the New York Times said. The cease-fire halted a brief round of fighting that killed 22 Palestinians, including militants and civilians, and four Israeli civilians.

President Trump said on Sunday that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller “should not testify” before Congress, reported the Washington Post. Trump continued to insist that the Special Counsel’s investigation found “no collusion” and “no obstruction.”

The U.S. sent an additional carrier strike group and bombers to the Persian Gulf this weekend as a deterrent to Iran, the Wall Street Journal reported. The action was in response to what national security advisor John Bolton called “a number of troubling indications and warnings” from Tehran.

Trump threatened on Sunday to impose additional tariffs against China, reported the New York Times. The president said he believed the negotiations were going “too slowly” and that he planned to increase tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese imports from 10 percent to 25 percent.
