President Trump agreed to a six-month delay on auto tariffs to be applied to close U.S. allies, including European nations and Japan, reported the New York Times.
The U.S. has reached an agreement to lift tariffs on aluminum and steel imports from Mexico and Canada, said Politico.
A federal judge has ordered the public release of transcripts of two of former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s phone calls, which played an important role in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, according to the Washington Post. The calls included a discussion with the former Russian ambassador and a voice message from Trump’s personal lawyer conveying Trump’s “affection” for Flynn while Flynn considered cooperating with investigators. Flynn pleaded guilty in 2017 to lying to the FBI about the call with the Russian ambassador.
Iran has reached out to China for assistance in saving the 2015 nuclear deal, revealed the Wall Street Journal. Iran is seeking to bolster its ties to China as Western countries back away in the face of renewed U.S. tariffs.
