President Trump is reportedly preparing pardons for servicemembers and contractors convicted or accused of war crimes, said the New York Times. The White House has asked the Justice Department to prepare the paperwork for a pardon in advance of Memorial Day.

Anti-money laundering specialists at Deutsche Bank in 2016 and 2017 reported multiple suspicious transactions on the part of entities controlled by Donald Trump and Jared Kushner to the bank’s management and recommended that the transactions be reported to the Treasury Department. Executives neglected to follow their advice and did not file the reports, and one employee that reported the transactions was later dismissed after raising issues about the bank’s review practices, reported the Times.

Republican Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan said over the week that Trump’s conduct as described in the Mueller report was “impeachable,” according to Politico. Trump responded on Twitter by saying Amash as a “loser who sadly plays right into our opponents hands!”

Efforts to combat the second-largest Ebola outbreak ever, currently unfolding in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, are being hampered by attacks on health workers, treatment centers and those charged with burying the bodies of those who die from the virus, reported the Times.
