  • Mon, March 10 at 10:30 am: The ABA's Section of International Law hosts  its 4th annual "'Live from L': The Office of the Legal Adviser, U.S. Department of State." Speakers include Mary E. McLeod, Newell Highsmith, Todd Buchwald, and Mallory Stewart. Moderated by Sean D. Murphy.
  • Wed, March 12 at 9 am: The Brookings Institution hosts a full-day symposium on “Securing America’s Future in the New 'Interwar Years.'” Speakers include  Lt. Gen. Edward C. Cardon, David Kilcullen, Peter Singer, Cynthia Watson and many more.

Employment Announcements

Undergraduate students or recent graduates: Are you interested in interning with Lawfare this summer? The Brookings Institution’s Governance Studies program is now accepting applications for its national security internship. Interns will provide research support to Ben, Wells, and Ritika, and will help to write for and run Lawfare.

Topics:
Ritika Singh was a project coordinator at the Brookings Institution where she focused on national security law and policy. She graduated with majors in International Affairs and Government from Skidmore College in 2011, and wrote her thesis on Russia’s energy agenda in Europe and its strategic implications for America.
Yishai Schwartz is a third-year student at Yale Law School. Previously, he was an associate editor at Lawfare and a reporter-researcher for The New Republic. He holds a BA from Yale in philosophy and religious studies.
