Monday, May 11th at 9 am: The Center for Middle East Policy at Brookings will host a conversation with two key Sunni leaders from Iraq on The Future of Iraq. Rafe al Issawi, former deputy prime minister and former minister of finance under Prime Minister Maliki, and Atheel al Nujayfi, governor of Ninewah Province and one of the most prominent Sunni leaders from Mosul, will explore the Sunni role in leading Iraq going forward, Sunni concerns about marginalization, and what role the United States might play in the reconciliation process. Monday, May 11th at 10:30 am: The Center for Cyber & Homeland Security at George Washington University invites you to a discussion on the State of the Cybersecurity Union with Admiral Michael S. Rogers, Commander of the U.S. Cyber Command and Director of the National Security Agency. Tuesday, May 12th at 10 am: The Brookings Institution will host a conversation on Meeting China Halfway: How to Defuse the Emerging U.S.-China Rivalry. Wednesday, May 13th at 10 am: The House Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet will hold a hearing on Stakeholder Perspectives on ICANN: The .Sucks Domain and Essential Steps to Guarantee Trust and Accountability in the Internet's Operation. Job Summary: Provide expert legal advice to the Assistant Director for National Intelligence/Acquisition, Technology & Facilities (ADNI/AT&F), IARPA, and other senior ODNI leaders. Provide expert legal counsel to support the development, review, and interpretation of IC-wide policies, procedures, guidelines, rules, and standards governing IC Major System Acquisitions, to include Requirements, Performance Management Plans, and Independent Cost Estimates. Senior attorney for the OGC team that provides advice and counsel on complex legal issues including procurement law, major system acquisitions, intellectual property, fiscal law, and procurement integrity, and provides innovative and highly effective guidance on possible courses of action; and, expertly prepares complex, high profile, and persuasive legal documents on complex legal issues for a variety of internal and external recipients. Position has the potential for supervisory responsibilities depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Qualifications:  Superior multi-disciplinary legal skills and experience dealing with complex legal issues, as well as an expert ability to interpret laws, regulations, judicial decisions, Executive Orders, and statutes involving complex concepts and issues. Expert-level knowledge of one or more of the general or specialized areas of OGC’s law practice, such as: intelligence oversight, privacy and civil liberties, federal employee ethics, National Security Law, Equal Employment Opportunity law, operations law, acquisition and appropriations, administrative law, and litigation. Superior research abilities, including the ability to quickly integrate and synthesize the facts and law to make legally sound decisions, and recommendations pertaining to the most complex situations, or in the context of ambiguous or ill-defined situations.
