Whistleblower’s Counsel Signals Intent to Contact Congress Directly

Counsel for the IC whistleblower contacted acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire to inform of the whistleblower’s intention to “contact the congressional intelligence communities directly,” in a letter released yesterday.

Counsel for the IC whistleblower contacted acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire to inform of the whistleblower’s intention to “contact the congressional intelligence communities directly,” in a letter released yesterday. In their response, the general counsel of the DNI suggested that the whistleblower should wait for legal guidance before proceeding directly to Congress. The counsel for the whistleblower also released two statements supporting the Senate resolution, one urging the complete disclosure of the whistleblower complaint and one applauding the potential move to release the complaint soon.
