Alan Bersin

Alan Bersin served as Assistant Secretary and Chief Diplomatic Officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, as well as Commissioner for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He was previously the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California. Bersin is a Fellow in the Homeland Security Project at the Belfer Center, Harvard Kennedy School, and a Global Fellow at the Mexico Institute and Canada Institute, Wilson Center.
