Edward Parker

Edward Parker is a Physical Scientist at the RAND Corporation whose research focuses on quantum technology and cybersecurity. He received his Ph.D. in theoretical quantum physics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where his research involved computationally modeling magnetic quantum materials that could be useful for building quantum computers. Since coming to RAND, he has researched the policy implications of quantum technology, artificial intelligence, and 5G communications. He is broadly interested in the societal impacts of disruptive emerging technologies.
