Lily McElwee

Lily McElwee serves as deputy director and fellow in the Freeman Chair in China Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she researches China’s foreign policy with a particular focus on relations with the United States, Europe, and Global South. Dr. McElwee is concurrently a Strategy & Policy Fellow with the Smith Richardson Foundation and previously held fellowships with the American Council on Germany and CSIS-USC U.S.-Korea NextGen Scholars program.
