Sara Chimene-Weiss

Sara Chimene-Weiss is Counsel at Protect Democracy. She previously worked as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the District of Arizona’s Capital Habeas Unit, where she represented clients facing the death penalty. Previously, she was a fellow at the ACLU’s National Security Project and advocated for low-income clients in Lawrence, MA. Sara served as a law clerk to the late Honorable A. Richard Caputo of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Sara received her J.D. from Columbia Law School and her A.B. from Brown University.
