Thomas Zeitzoff

Thomas Zeitzoff is an assistant professor in the School of Public Affairs at American University. His research focuses on political violence and political psychology, and particularly the effects of social media and exposure to violence on political attitudes, why individuals fight, and how leaders mobilize supporters for conflict or peace. His research has appeared or is forthcoming in such journals as American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, International Organization, Political Psychology, Journal of Peace Research, and Journal of Conflict Resolution.
