Last Tuesday, a panel of Brookings foreign policy experts came together to discuss the "state of the international order."  The event, and a companion Brookings report, focused on international coordination efforts, having in mind the passage of more than a decade since the Iraq war's inception and five years since the global financial crisis.  Among other things, the group touched on security matters, including America's use of military and other power, and the broader security challenges facing the international system. The event was moderated by Ted Piccone, the Vice President of Brookings' Foreign Policy Program; he was joined by Brookings scholars Bruce Jones, Robert Kagan, Thomas Wright, and Jeremy Shapiro.
