Yesterday, John Carlin, Acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security at the Department of Justice, gave a keynote address on cybersecurity at American University’s Washington College of Law as part of a larger symposium entitled "Corporate Counterterrorism: The Role of Private Companies in National Security." He discussed what the Department of Justice is doing about cybersecurity, and its cooperation with the private sector in securing critical infrastructure. Steve Vladeck introduced him.

Ritika Singh was a project coordinator at the Brookings Institution where she focused on national security law and policy. She graduated with majors in International Affairs and Government from Skidmore College in 2011, and wrote her thesis on Russia’s energy agenda in Europe and its strategic implications for America.
