  • Mon, May 12 at 5:00 pm: The Atlantic Council hosts a discussion with Matthew Kroenig on his new book A Time to Attack: The Looming Iranian Nuclear Threat. The talk will focus on "the history of Iran’s nuclear program, options available to policymakers, and what the resolution of the Iranian nuclear crisis will mean for the future of international order."
  • Tues, May 13 at 3:30 pm: The Carnegie Endowment hosts “Counterinsurgency and Counterterrorism in Pakistan.” The panelists are Samina Ahmed and Mark Schneider of the International Crisis Group, and Frederic Grare of Carnegie will moderate. 
  • Wed, May 14 at 8:00 am: The Atlantic Council will hold a full-day event entitled "Disrupting Defense: Dynamic Security in an Age of New Technologies." The event will feature prominent speakers, such as Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Stephen Hadley, former National Security Adviser,  and Arati Prabhakar, the director of DARPA. After the presentations, there will be a display of these new "disruptive technologies."
  • Wed, May 14 at 8:00 am: The American Bar Association Standing Committee on Law and National Security hosts a breakfast panel on "Closing Gitmo: Where Are We." Paul Lewis and Cliff Sloan, the Defense and State Department Special Envoys for Guantanamo Closure, respectively, will provide keynote remarks.

  • The Department of Justice's National Security Division is looking for a Counterintelligence, Export Control, and Economic Espionage Chief. The application deadline is Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
  • The International Committee of the Red Cross is looking for a Legal Intern in the International Humanitarian Law Department for the fall semester. The position is paid, and applications are due August 1st, 2014.
  • The American Society of International Law (ASIL) is looking for an Executive Director. The application deadline is June 15, 2014.
