- Thurs, June 19 at 12:30 pm: The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy's Massive Data Institute will co-host an event entitled Improving Government Performance in the Era of Big Data: Opportunities and Challenges for Federal Agencies. Speakers include Counselor to the President John Podesta, and U.S. Chief Technology Officer Todd Park.
- Thurs, June 19 at 4:30 pm: The Institute of World Politics will hold a lecture with Patrick Harvey, a State Department officer, on the topic Human Rights and US National Security Policy.

The FBI's Office of General Counsel has attorney vacancies in two of its offices---the National Security Law Branch and the Litigation Branch. The application deadlines for the positions are June 24, 2014.
Ritika Singh was a project coordinator at the Brookings Institution where she focused on national security law and policy. She graduated with majors in International Affairs and Government from Skidmore College in 2011, and wrote her thesis on Russia’s energy agenda in Europe and its strategic implications for America.
