- Mon, March 31 at 10:00 am: The Brookings Institution hosts "A Pivotal Year in Afghanistan: 2014 Presidential Election and the Planned Drawdown of U.S. and NATO Forces." The all-star cast includes Gen. John Allen, Former Commander of NATO International Assistance Force in Afghanistan, Ronald E. Neumann Former U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan, and Najib Sharifi, Senior Analyst at Afghanistan Analysis and Awareness. The event will be moderated by Michael O'Hanlon of Brookings.
- Mon, March 31 at 10:00 am: The Brookings Institution hosts "Iran Nuclear Negotiations: Requirements for a Final Deal." Panelists include Robert Einhorn of Brookings, Dennis Ross of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, and Frank N. von Hippel of Princeton.
- Wed, April 2 at 6:00 pm: The New Hampshire Lawyers Chapter of The Federalist Society will hold a debate on the Question “Can NSA Monitoring of Domestic Communications be Reconciled With Individual Constitutional Liberty Interests?” between Charles G. Douglas, former U. S. Congressman and New Hampshire Supreme Court Justice, and our very own Paul Rosenzweig.
- Thurs, April 3 at 2:00 pm: Brookings hosts "The Court in the World: The First Annual Justice Stephen Breyer Lecture on International Law." Justice Breyer will talk about the role of the U.S. Supreme Court in the world.
- Thurs, April 3 - Fri, April 4: The University of Texas-Austin hosts "The National Security Agency at the Crossroads." Bobby noted the schedule of events and the impressive list of participants yesterday.
- Fri, April 4 at 8:00 am: Pepperdine University School of Law is holding a symposium on "The Future of National Security Law." Ben will be speaking about whether the AUMF should be renewed, and John Rizzo will give the luncheon address.
- Mon, April 7 - Sat, April 12: The American Society of International Law and the International Law Association will hold a joint conference entitled "The Effectiveness of International Law" at the Ronald Reagan Trade Center in Washington, DC.
