  • Mon, April 28–Fri, May 2: Al Nashiri motions hearings.
  • Mon, April 28 at 10 am: The Arms Control and Non-Proliferation Initiative at Brookings will host the release of the Deep Cuts Commission’s first report, “Preparing for Deep Cuts: Options for Enhancing Euro-Atlantic and International Security.”
  • Mon, April 28 at 12:30 am: Brookings’ Center for 21st Century Security and Intelligence will host a discussion entitled “How Might U.S. Defense Policy Change in the Years Ahead?” Representative Mac Thornberry (R-Tex.) and Representative Rick Larsen (D-Wash.) will be featured speakers at the event.

  • The Department of Justice's National Security Division is looking for a Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General (PDAAG). The application deadline is May 7, 2014.
  • The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press is hiring for a two-year Stanton fellowship. Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis.

Ritika Singh was a project coordinator at the Brookings Institution where she focused on national security law and policy. She graduated with majors in International Affairs and Government from Skidmore College in 2011, and wrote her thesis on Russia’s energy agenda in Europe and its strategic implications for America.
