Attorney General William Barr announced Monday that FBI investigators had found evidence that the man who killed three people in a shooting at Naval Air Station Pensacola last December was motivated by “jihadist ideology,” reports the Washington Post. Barr also called the shooting an act of terrorism.

An attack by al-Shabaab on a shared U.S.-Kenya airfield in Lamu, Kenya killed three Americans, according to the Wall Street Journal. Four of the attackers were also killed in the attack.

Iran claimed it had arrested people involved in accidentally shooting down a Ukrainian airliner last Wednesday, reports Reuters. Iran also announced that 30 people involved in anti-government protests have been detained.

Area 1, a Silicon Valley-based security firm, has detected attempts by the GRU, an arm of the Russian military, to hack into Ukrainian gas company Burisma according to the New York Times. Burisma was at the center of President Trump’s requests of Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden.

Britain, France and Germany formally accused Iran of failing to comply with the 2015 nuclear deal, triggering a dispute resolutionprocess that may lead to the imposition of previously-suspended United Nations sanctions on Iran reports the Times.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has announced that the House would vote to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate on Wednesday, according to the Post.
