Brian Murphy

Brian Murphy served as both the Principal and Acting Under Security for Intelligence for DHS (2018 to 2021). Prior to DHS, Murphy was a special agent with the FBI for over 20 years. While there, he performed duties from street agent to national manager. Murphy began his federal service in 1994 in the USMC. Murphy has a Ph.D. (ABA) from Georgetown University, MA Columbia University, and a BA from William and Mary. He maintains a TS clearance.
