Paul Nelson

Paul Nelson is a Senior Advisor and the Acting Team Lead for Digital Finance at USAID. Alongside work on gender and Africa, he leads the Digital Ecosystem Fund and Trust and Competition in Digital Economies (an effort of USAID and the FTC). He was a State Department fellow on AI ethics. He holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and degrees in architecture and economics from the University of Minnesota.
